Sugarloaf Provincial Park’s newly expanded downhill bike park, designed and built by Whistler’s Gravity Logic, offers something for everyone. Beginner riders will love the smooth, gentle cruisers. Intermediate riders will have a blast on the twisty single track. Experts will find a challenge on the tight, steep and rocky black diamond trails. Most everyone will surely get hooked on the fast and flowy jump trail. The trails are jam packed with burms, table tops, drops, step ups and wooden features making a trip to Sugarloaf Park a must!

If you are able to ride a bike, use the brakes and shift gears…there is a trail for you!

Sugarloaf Bike Park

The Pump Track at the bottom of the hill is a great way to improve the skills of riders of all abilities. The goal is to not pedal or brake as you circle the track. Flow is critical.

Do a warm-up run! Take a ride down Sugar Mama. This 2m wide rolling trail is 2 km long and suitable for virtually anyone who has ever ridden a mountain bike before. If singletrack is what you’re after, try Choupette...a bite size taste of Sugarloaf’s easier offerings.

Blue riders will want to hit Sugar Daddy. This 2 km jump trail is packed with tables, step-ups, step downs and berms that will have you grinning ear to ear. New for 2009 is Swamp Donkey. Good old -fashioned smooth and flowy singletrack that mountain bike dreams are made of.

Advanced riders can choose from a number of old-school rooty, rocky, and steep technical singletrack. Kodiac is a little less rooty but we’ve added a number of north-shore style wooden features to spice things up. L’Acadienne is the original DH and is for experts only. Planning on racing this summer? Do a few laps of Ti-Polo and L’Acadienne and you’ll be ready for anything.
